POS (POINT OF SALES) FUNCTIONALITIES FOR ORACLE E-BUSINESS SUITE AND LEGAL REPORTING AT SMITHFIELD ROMANIA

Smithfield Prod is the largest slaughterhouse in Romania, with a processing capacity of 600 heads per hour, being located on the former COMTIM premises. CHALLENGES SOLUTION
   
  • The need to develop a set of reports and customization that will allow the system to function and report data in the format and content as required by Romanian legislation in force, without the impact of standard features.

  • Develop a system for sale in the own stores, fully integrated with Oracle application, to make transaction in real time.

  • Developing comprehensive analysis functionality.

  • Interface with other existing systems at customers.

  • Setup changes and custom reports in the existing Oracle e-Business Suite in order to achieve the results required by the Romanian legislation

  • Implementing in a real time point of sale system for the retail operations of the company

  • Development of other features that allow different internal analysis and integration with existing systems, splints than Oracle E-Business Suite.

 
 
IMPLEMENTATION SOLUTION
  • A set of custom reports was developed in order to cover the legal and internal reporting needs of the customer and a set of customizations was installed to the instance, having as result the accounting results required by the Romanian laws.

  • Developing a comprehensive and fully integrated solution with Oracle E-Business Suite application that allows the sale of its stores by issuing a tax receipt, or bill, together with various methods of collection, and real-time updating of existing stocks in store.

  • Highlight existing lots through a flexible and customized system and highlighting the situation of lots and expiration dates, reported on existing stocks, to reduce the risk of expiry of the goods stored.

  • Features specific computer, highlighting the distribution and transport costs of their products, reported the weight of goods transported, by calculating the various parameters of capacity and efficiency.

  • Automatic integration with various existing IT systems at the customer.
